About

One technician, no service department in the way

North Texas Espresso Co. is a new, owner-operated shop based in Dallas–Fort Worth. There is no dispatcher routing your call to whoever is available and no regional service manager between you and the person doing the work.

Why this exists

Independent shops are usually last in line

A lot of commercial coffee equipment in this region gets serviced by a manufacturer’s own service department or a large multi-state provider — companies built to service chains and distribution deals, where a single independent café is a small account. That usually means a longer wait for dispatch, a technician you have not met before, and a bill that reflects overhead an owner-operated shop does not carry.

The gap that leaves is a technician who actually shows up, who you can call back with a question about the same machine, and who tells you plainly when something is or is not worth fixing. That is the job this company exists to do.

Who does the work

A certified technician, not a rotating crew

The person who answers your service request is the same person who drives out and works on the machine. That technician is certified through multiple manufacturer training programs and maintains direct relationships with a handful of manufacturers for parts, technical bulletins and support on harder faults — relationships built by doing the training, not by claiming years this company has not been open for.

Coverage includes commercial semi-automatic espresso machines, most super-automatics, and all major grinder and brewer brands, along with the water systems that feed them. If a specific unit falls outside that — some manufacturers restrict service and parts to their own dealer network — that gets said up front rather than discovered mid-job.

How the work gets done

Five things that don't change from job to job

No track record to point to yet — so judge this on how the work is run, not on a number.

Fixed on the first visit

Symptom, make and model are read against known failure patterns before dispatch, so the parts that repair usually needs are already on the truck.

Arrives stocked

Common wear parts — gaskets, screens, valves, probes — ride in the van as a matter of course, not as an afterthought once the first visit turns up empty-handed.

A written condition report, every time

What was wrong, what was done, and the readings that prove it — not a verbal "it's good now" on the way out the door.

Quoted before the meter runs

Parts and anything beyond the original scope are priced and approved before work continues. No surprise line items on the invoice.

Told when it isn't the right fit

Some machines fall under a manufacturer's own dealer network, and some plumbing crosses into permitted work. You hear that up front, not after a wasted trip.

Installs & water hookups

Placement, water and drain connection, filtration and RO installs, and equipment relocation are all handled directly as part of the coffee equipment install — that is coffee-equipment plumbing, not general plumbing work.

Not a licensed plumber

New supply lines, backflow certification and any permitted plumbing work are coordinated with a licensed plumber rather than handled directly. That line does not move for convenience — it is what keeps an install legal and insurable.
